Premium Art Brands Ltd is sponsoring our competition, offering the lovely Ampersand boards as prizes, and the winners will be able to choose the type they prefer. Everyone has a different favourite - mine is the Pastelbord, I think, followed by Gessobord, but other people who have tried them, or used them, have their own favourite.

As the boards are heavy, this competition is open to UK residents only.

Seasonal is a wide subject, but has lots of scope - for example, wintery landscapes, seasonal foods, edible or decorative, and what about winter clothing? The trees are bare, the sky is varied, with low sunshine creating interesting shadows. Or you could go down the traditional winter theme of holly and berries, or pine trees and mistletoe. Loads to choose from!

Rules

1. Pictures must be at least 50% dry colour pencil and mixed media is encouraged.

2. If you have used a photo reference, other than your own, you must enter the name of the photographer in the space provided and have their express permission to use it.

Copyright to use photo references by other people is the sole responsibility of the artist. The UKCPS is not responsible for ensuring you have the right to use references.

3. Image files should be between 1 and 4MB. Best quality please as they will be used when reproduced in Talking Point.
